Welcome to UPI Vaani – Payment Announcer, Voice Alerts for Every UPI Transaction (“Application” or “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled while providing a secure, transparent, and user-friendly UPI voice alert experience. By using this App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
UPI Vaani is a lightweight voice alert application that announces incoming and outgoing UPI transactions by converting transaction-related notifications into audio alerts. The App does not require user registration, login, or account creation.
UPI Vaani is an independent third-party utility application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any bank, UPI service provider, NPCI, or payment application. The App does not initiate, verify, process, or influence any UPI transaction. It only reads notifications generated by installed UPI apps on the user’s device and announces them for convenience.
UPI Vaani should be used as an assistive notification tool only and not as a primary source for financial confirmation.
UPI Vaani does not request or collect personal information such as name, phone number, email address, bank details, UPI ID, or login credentials.
Non-personal, anonymized technical information may be collected for app stability and improvement, including device type, operating system version, app performance metrics, and crash logs. This data cannot be used to identify individual users.
UPI Vaani requires Notification Access to read UPI transaction notifications displayed by other apps on your device. Notification data is stored locally on the device only using an internal database. This information is never transmitted, uploaded, or shared with any server or third party.
The App does not access SMS messages, bank servers, or UPI applications directly.
The App uses Firebase Firestore only for storing and retrieving non-personal configuration data, such as feature flags, app version control, or remote configuration settings. No transaction data or personally identifiable information (PII) is stored in Firestore.
UPI Vaani may display advertisements through Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network, sometimes via AdMob Mediation. These ad providers may collect limited non-personal data such as advertising ID, approximate location (city-level), and ad interaction data for ad delivery, performance measurement, and fraud prevention.
Users can opt out of personalized ads through their device-level ad settings.
The App offers an optional In-App Purchase to remove advertisements. All payments are securely processed via Google Play Billing. UPI Vaani does not access or store any payment information.
Internet access is required for displaying advertisements, fetching non-personal configuration data from Firestore, anonymous analytics, crash reporting, and app updates.
The core functionality of UPI Vaani depends entirely on notifications generated by UPI apps. If a UPI app does not generate a transaction notification due to network issues, disabled notifications, battery optimization, or app-level restrictions, UPI Vaani will not be able to announce that transaction.
The App does not independently fetch transaction details from the internet, banks, or UPI servers.
By granting Notification Access, users consent to the App reading transaction-related notifications and generating voice alerts locally on the device.
Users acknowledge that missed, delayed, or absent alerts may occur if notifications are not generated by the respective UPI apps. The developer is not responsible for such cases caused by external factors.
All notification history remains stored locally on the user’s device. Users may manually delete notification history at any time from within the App. Uninstalling the App permanently removes all locally stored data.
Only anonymized analytics, crash reports, and non-personal configuration data may be retained temporarily on Firebase servers for debugging and performance improvement.
UPI Vaani is not intended for children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
UPI Vaani stores data locally and does not transmit UPI transaction information over the internet. Users are encouraged to secure their devices using system-level security features.
In rare cases, duplicate, delayed, or inaccurate voice alerts may occur due to operating system limitations or third-party UPI app behavior. Users should always verify transactions directly within their respective UPI or banking applications.
UPI Vaani does not guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of voice alerts and shall not be liable for financial decisions made based on audio announcements.
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to comply with legal or Google Play requirements. Continued use of the App signifies acceptance of the updated policy.
